Potters Wheel Hire

At Tilly Pots we have 2 Cromartie Premium Potters Wheels 0.5HP and you can now come to the studio and hire out one of the wheels for you to practice on!

When you hire a potter's wheel at Tilly Pots, you must have experience using a wheel, either by attending one of my taster days or learning at another venue.  

When you arrive at the studio your wheel will be ready to use and you will get to use 1kg of clay for you to practice for up to 1 hour.  

This will give you an opportunity to practice and improve your throwing skills. At the end of your session, you will have to clean your wheel and equipment. 

Please note this is your session with no one teaching you!

Please read before booking -  The cost of this 1 hour long session is £12.50 for 1 wheel and there will no pots fired or glazed.  You will get 1kg of clay to use and have to wedge and clean up your equipment after use.  If you did want any of your pot's kiln fired this will be £10 for the 1st firing and another £7.50 if you would like this glazed and kiln fired again. Remember not all pots serve their first firing this can be due to how you have thrown your pot on the wheel.
